Opportunity is Knocking At Your Door…Are You Ready To Start Afresh?
With the summer vacation coming to an end, you are at the threshold of a new academic year.
A whole new world is waiting to be discovered if you are heading to college for the first time.
If you are going back to school, it may initially take you a while to get back into the normal rhythm, but don't forget, the new year is another chance you have to enjoy your last few years in school.
A fresh beginning will present us with a great deal of possibilities if we are alert, focused, optimistic and committed.
Here are some Success Sutras to help you begin the new academic year and seize new opportunities:
When study and other academic activities become just a routine, it becomes boring. Let us start the new academic year by doing everything passionately. Make learning fun and give it your best shot.
♦ NO QUITTERS
When we experience failures and feel like quitting we must ask ourselves, why we started at all.
Late Muhammad Ali, American heavyweight boxing champion and civil rights activist said, "I hated every minute of training, but I said, I won't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion"
♦ COMPETE WITH OTHERS, BECOME BITTER…COMEPET WITH YOURSELF, BECOME BETTER
It is not about being better than someone else; it is about being better than what one was yesterday.
It doesn't matter what others think about us, it matters what we are doing.
♦ START SOMETHING NEW
Always find time to do the things that empower you and make you happy.
You can start a new hobby, take up a free online course, play a sport, learn how to design a website or take up a social cause.
Make time for fun and new things to explore every day.
And finally we must remember that we will never have this time again, hence the need to make it worthwhile!
